Favourite live song
I was at this The The gig years back and to this day its still probably the best I have ever seen.

This is the song that blew me away the most.

Check out Johnny Marr's epic (and unusual as he doesn't normally do them) Solo at 2.30. Utter brilliance.

Frankly the whole set is brilliant and Matt Johnson is

Monster Magnet - Space Lord
this x 1000

Faith No More - Midlife Crisis
Clutch - Spacegrass
The Flaming Lips - Do You Realise?
Beck - Lord Only Knows
Blur - The Universal
The Dillinger Escape Plan - Sugar Coated Sour

I was gutted when I saw Ween that they didn't play Booze Me Up and Get Me High or the Blarney Stone as they are two of the greatest live songs ever (from seeing them on DVD), but they did play My Own Bare Hands which is excellent live.

Comfortably Numb

I was at the O2 for the ONLY night on Roger Waters recent Wall tour that Gilmour showed up to play and sing on that song.

When he appeared on top of the Wall, guitar in hand and sang his opening line 'There is no pain you are receding', and people realised what was happening, the roar and the buzz in the place was unbelievable!

I've been to many hundreds of gigs but that was something else..

Luckily you can see it too..

Mickey Rat

Wow I just youtubed it but you were actually there .

The thing is even on a laptop she shines brilliantly, not only her talent but the whole Mandela situation adds more emotion and feeling to her performance.

My favourite live song is NOT the one where the drummer plays a self-indulgent 15 minute drum solo while the rest of the band have a fag.

Love the Black Crowes, love the Who but surely it's Kick Out The Jams by MC5? It's everything I love about rock and roll.
